| For all of you that are interested in construction materials and geotechnical testing, CETANZ brings to you the 3rd biennial conference, which will be held in Auckland at the new Viaduct Events Centre. The theme for this conference is "Taxes, Technology, Testing and Training". With the economic financial crisis still being felt in many sectors and the recent launch of the new Civil Engineering Laboratory Technician qualifications, it seemed timely to focus the conference on business management including training of people, and use of technology in testing. All of which are key to creating sustainable testing businesses. Many of us come from technical, science or civil backgrounds and although technically strong, we could benefit from training in the areas of business, financial and people management. This conference aims to help fill some of the gaps for you. We look forward to seeing you in August 2012. Best Regards, Michael Mcglynn
